Why Trust an Orthodontist with Your Smile?
For most people, a beautiful smile is the most obvious benefit of wearing braces. After orthodontic therapy, people feel more confident and can’t wait to show their smiles! But that’s not the only reason. A straighter smile is also more likely to be a healthy smile. With the help of our on-site, board-certified orthodontist, we can use braces to make your straight smile a reality in NYC.
An orthodontist is a specialist with two or three additional years of formal education in the management of orofacial development and corrective techniques. Their goal is to help perfect your natural smile using a variety of teeth straightening practices.
At Advanced Dental Arts, you’ll get a comprehensive experience from our orthodontist right in our office. This means you won’t have to drive all over town for multiple trips. Instead, you’ll get all your orthodontic treatment right here in our Lower Manhattan office.
Efficient and Patient-Centric Care
Dental technology has dramatically progressed, providing patients with more care options than ever. Gone are the days when an orthodontist placed a metal band with a bracket around each tooth. Wires are less noticeable. Methods move teeth faster and with less discomfort.
Orthodontics may be recommended for also correcting these problems:
- Deep Bites
- Crooked Teeth
- Misalignments Impacting the TMJ
Orthodontic Treatment Plans
Your appointment will begin with a consultation where our orthodontist will conduct a clinical exam. During the exam, we’ll take impressions of your teeth and capture a series of diagnostic x-rays. Then, we’ll discuss treatment options based on an analysis of your exam with you.
Afterward, the orthodontist will make slight adjustments to your braces to move your teeth into proper alignment. They’ll do this every four to six weeks.
Typically, our patients only wear braces for about a year. But, we can give you a more accurate estimate of your treatment duration during your consultation.
Depending on the specific needs of your bite, jaw anatomy, and facial characteristics, traditional braces may be right for you. Conventional braces treatments are effective for both adults and children.
- Ability to address moderate to severe corrective needs
- No temptation to remove them or forget to put them back on
- Cannot be lost or misplaced
Ceramic braces are the same size and shape as metal braces. However, they utilize tooth-colored or clear brackets that blend in with the color of your smile. These braces are popular among adults and teenagers because they provide a discrete appearance to traditional metal braces.
Invisalign is the most subtle way to straighten your teeth. Instead of dealing with traditional braces, you can go about your daily life without much change.
Eat, drink, and talk just like you did before starting treatment. The nearly invisible BPA free plastic fits your teeth perfectly. It’s so smooth and comfortable you may even forget it’s there.
